Native tree nursery here on the Karikari Peninsula, based on my whanau whenua. Run by myself and my husband Mike including our son when he is not at other mahi.

It is an absolute privilege to be here on our whenua with my whanau making improvements and leaving a legacy for our future generations. This whenua was passed to my uncles and eventually to my dad, being the youngest. So, to be able to build & grow a sustainable native tree nursery right here where I was born, on the Karikari Peninsula is the chance not many take up. I'm lucky, I have a supportive husband, hardworking children that tautoko initiatives for whenua and whanau. Waikura Natives has sustained us since 2003, it is my view that it is time to give back to the whenua, how ? by planting trees, why ?to give back to papatuanuku. when ? yesterday
