Mama’s Brew Shop and Happy Hour is the creation of two mamas and friends, Liv and René. After we struggled to find good non-alcoholic alternatives while pregnant, René a nutritionist and medical herbalist crafted a kombucha that was raw, organic and flavoured using only the best organic herbs and spices. We were busy brewing the Mama’s range from our converted garage in Helensville New Zealand, when we realised our kombucha was the perfect cocktail mixer and could be made with more than just a trace of alcohol.
With different types of canned drinks popping up all over the world, we knew people were looking for a more interesting, complex and conscious alternative. A drink that was all about bringing people together, making connections and good times. Happy Hour, a hard kombucha fermented with champagne yeast and botanicals was the answer.
